In Alphabetical Order:

Amielienhof Hotel -- This is a small boutique hotel a few blocks away from the Market Platz. People staying there have liked it and said the hotel staff does speak some English. There is Internet connectivity, but not by Wi-Fi, only by hard wire hook up (Ethernet cable needed) at the time of this writing.

Dorint Hotel - This hotel fronts on a nice park. It is one of the higher end hotels. Relatively large and modern. It is a short walk from the Market Platz and the old section of the city. For those going in the warmer summer  months, we are told they have air-conditioning.

ElephantHotelElephant Hotel - This is another of the high-end hotels in the city. It is centrally located right on the Market Platz, adjacent to the Town Hall and not far from the Tourist Information Office. Rooms are very nice. Hotel staff speaks very good English. There is Wi-Fi available for a fee, but it has not been very reliable. The restaurant is very good. Regional German food is a speciality. Dining is pricey when compared to other good dining in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is not air-conditioned.

Grand Hotel Russischer Hof -- This is a Best Western Hotel right on one of the main thoroughfares in the city. It is less than a 10 min walk from the old Market Platz. People who have stayed there report that the beds in the rooms are great and they liked the location. There is Wi-Fi, but it has been reported that it sometimes is not dependable.  The hotel is air-conditioned.

One patient who stayed at The Grand Hotel Russischer Hof in Weimar twice said the hotel has great rooms, staff, andlocation. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant is quite nice. The hotel is about half a mile from the train station, but kind of far to walk with luggage. It is a short cab ride. The hotel is a short walk (2-3 blocks) from the Theaterplatz, a central square in Weimar, with many cafes, the Bauhaus Museum, and more. The hotel has wireless internet, although the signal strength in the single room may be better than the suite. It was a great place to burn off the jet lag before admission to Bad Berka. They have a small garage in back if you happen to have a car with you. Booking visits through Expedia is easy.  http://russischerhof-weimar.de/

Hotel Kaiserin Augusta -  This hotel is directly opposite the Weimar Central train station and is convenient if you have an early morning train. The breakfast is included in the room fee, but there is an added fee for Internet. It is located on Carl-August-Allee 17. The phone is 49 3643-86690. They do have a website.

Pension Savina -The Savina is located a few blocks away from the train station at Meyerstraße 60.  The rate is 45 Euros per night for a single and there is free Internet.  Each room comes with a small kitchen and complimentary wi-fi. 

RezidenzePensionResidenze Pension - This pension or hotel is a combo hotel and popular cafe with a good menu and a number of local/regional food choices. People who have stayed there said the rooms were clean and comfortable. Wi-fi is free but dependability is based on room location. It is located across from the Weimar castle and is within an easy walk to the Market Platz.
