Staying in the Frankfurt Area
There are numerous options for hotels in the Frankfurt area. All the major hotel chains have hotels. If you have a relationship with a chain like Sheraton, Best Western, Marriott, etc., you might contact them first.
We have some feedback from Bad Berka patients who stayed in the Frankfurt area going to Bad Berka or returning home. Here are some of their suggestions.
Airport Sheraton – This hotel is by far the most convenient since it is right at the airport. You literally walk through the lobby and into the departure area for the major airlines. The downside is that it is expensive. The rooms are nice. Pretty much what you would expect from a Sheraton. The restaurant is nice, but again prices are high. Despite the cost, it is an excellent place to stay if all you are doing is coming back to Frankfurt and then catching a flight the next day back to the US or another country. You are paying for location, location, location.
Hilton Hotels at the Airport — Hilton hotels have opened two new hotels directly above the ICE station in the Frankfurt Airport, both are good alternatives to the more expensive Airport Sheraton. The Hilton Garden inn is the less expensive of the two, while the main Hilton at the Airport is one of the best hotels in town, both are less expensive than the Sheraton.
Hotel NH Frankfurt Moerfeldin – This hotel comes recommended to Bad Berka patients from another patient who is a German native, but lives in the US. He noted that this hotel is about 10 minutes south of the airport. It is close to the Langen City exit which is south of Frankfurt. The shuttle to the airport takes about 10 minutes. The hotel has nice rooms. The hotel is mainly for business people, so on the weekends they have very good rates. Dinners at the hotel start at about 22 Euros. Here is the contact info.
